Brian Hartwell tasked with growing company’s partner ecosystem
OpsRamp, a player in the growing AIOps market, is bringing on Brian Hartwell as channel chief to grow the company’s partner ecosystem.
The Lowdown: Hartwell takes over as OpsRamp’s vice president of worldwide channel sales after almost two years as vice president of alliances with cloud data management vendor Rubrik. He also has experience with such companies as Dell EMC, Nimble Storage, Data Domain, and Paetec Communications.
The Details: AIOps (artificial intelligence for IT operations) is the use of analytics and machine learning to automate operations and analyze the huge amounts of data generated by them. OpsRamp’s platform is designed to bring automation and insights to infrastructure management, enabling enterprises to spend more time developing IT services.
The company has about four-dozen partners in its channel program, which offers sales enablement, marketing support (including collateral and demand-generation programs), technical training, and incentives and pricing offerings.
Background: Hartwell’s appointment comes a week after OpsRamp released a report about modern IT operations based on a survey of more than 250 IT professionals, which found that 64% of respondents said DevOps is the skill they’re most looking for – beyond cloud and machine learning – and that almost 60% of organizations have put more than half of their mission-critical workloads in the public cloud. In addition, respondents said budgets are the most limiting factor in transforming IT operations.
The global AIOps market will grow more than 28% a year, from more than $2.2 billion in 2017 to $9.9 billion by 2023, according to MarketsandMarkets.
