Master agent will expand support offerings early next year
Telarus is buying the operations division of Cynergy Telecom in a move that will add to the master agent’s portfolio of back-office capabilities, such as engineering, project management, and account management.
The Lowdown: The companies, which have worked together for more than 10 years, did not disclose terms of the deal, which will close Nov. 1. Preparations for the transition are already underway and will continue into early next year.
The Details: Through the deal, Utah-based Telarus will acquire Cynergy’s operations division along with other assets, adding to its ability to help sales partners grow their businesses. Executives at Cynergy, which sells to midsize enterprises and has invested for years in its project and account management processes, are looking to make the company’s operations more efficient. The deal helps them with that goal by moving much of the customer support to Telarus and allowing them to focus more on sales.
Cynergy customers will continue to be supported as they have been in the past. However, Telarus partners will see expanded support offerings from Telarus starting in the first quarter of next year.
The Buzz: “This sale allows us to leverage the scale of the Telarus operation so we can focus on expanding our sales efforts,” said Mike Emanuelo, partner at Cynergy.
“We’re thrilled to add their expertise to our team,” said Telarus COO Richard Murray. “These highly developed customer processes will help to further advance our capabilities for the benefit of all partners who elect to take advantage of this service.”
“Our passion has been finding and educating our customers about the right solutions for their business, and this transaction allows us to do more of that,” said Jeff Cohen, partner at Cynergy.
