Health-care software company integrates JupiterOne platform with Okta Identity Cloud
JupiterOne, the precision security platform from LifeOmic, now features an integration with Okta that allows security teams to connect all of their digital assets with specific users.
The Lowdown: JupiterOne uses a relationship-based data model and simple search that help IT staffers quickly and easily maintain their security posture and comply with security regulations and standards. The latest integration with Okta, a provider of enterprise identity single sign-on (SSO) solutions, reduces the complexity of security operations by mapping the relationships between users and user groups to an organization’s digital resources.
The Details: According to sources at LifeOmic, the integration underscores the importance of securely connecting users with appropriate technologies and notifying security teams when a new, unexpected relationship occurs. While Okta’s SSO streamlines the log-in process, JupiterOne’s relationship-mapping leverages data and “connects the dots” across a digital environment.
JupiterOne provides continuous monitoring of cloud environments and controls, as well as automated reporting and evidence collection for compliance with security regs and standards, allowing organizations to visualize the relationships in their digital environments. The software pulls in account, application and application group, user and user group, and MFA factor information from Okta via the integration and maps the relationships on a graph database, along with other services that cloud-based organizations use, such as Amazon Web Services and Veracode.
The JupiterOne-Okta integration is now available. LifeOmic will be exhibiting JupiterOne at Oktane19, Okta’s customer conference, in San Francisco next week.
