Accordo Group Appoints Channel Veteran
Global provider of tech lifecycle management names Len DiCostanzo SVP
The seasoned executive joins Accordo with 30 years of experience in business and channel development. In his new position, he’ll lead business initiatives with strategic channel partners, software publishers, and business process outsourcing (BPO) service providers around the world.
The Lowdown: DiCostanzo takes on the role of senior vice president and head of business development at Accordo, where he’s charged with championing new business opportunities aligning with the company’s core mission: to empower customers to “realize their full potential through the intersection of people, partners, data, and technology.” DiCostanzo will report to Accordo CEO Eric Martorano.
The Details: No stranger to the process of building business by nurturing partnerships, DiCostanzo worked previously for Datto, where he was senior vice president of channel development, and Autotask, where he helped swell the global partner and client base to 9,000-plus. DiCostanzo also founded a business technology consulting firm, serving as its CEO for more than two decades before it was acquired.
The Impact: Accordo’s aim is to work more directly with the channel partners from which businesses purchase their software solutions, DiCostanzo tells CRN. That way, Accordo can work hand-in-hand with those partners to more effectively and efficiently manage customers’ technology lifecycle – specifically, their license- and cloud-based software assets.
Background: Founded almost 20 years ago, Accordo, whose technology solutions leverage analytics to help companies manage their software assets, embrace the cloud, and build their customer bases, operates today in nearly 40 countries and serves more than 100,000 customers. Last December, Accordo celebrated the opening of a new headquarters in Auckland, New Zealand.
The Buzz: “We are very fortunate to have someone with Len’s experience join our leadership team, creating new opportunities for Accordo as we continue to grow our business and expand into new markets,” said Martorano. “With 30 years of business development and channel experience in the IT industry, his knowledge around customer success in technology is second to none. I know Len will have an exceptional impact on our business as we continue to strengthen and grow our position in the area of technology lifecycle management.”
“I can’t imagine a more exciting opportunity than what I’m seeing at Accordo,” said DiCostanzo. “The company already operates a successful global technology lifecycle management business supporting SMB customers worldwide. I’m energized by the innovative plans and investments being made to expand Accordo’s solution offerings to enable organizations to optimize their IT investments and succeed in the area of cloud transformation.”
