The provider of enterprise-class data center, connectivity, and managed services has appointed William Pratt vice president of channel and managed service sales. In that role, he’ll be charged with developing DataBank’s strategic vision for the channel and building its partner base.
The Details: In addition, Pratt will oversee Databank’s go-to-market strategy for managed services and cross-platform hybrid solutions. His appointment comes at a time when the Dallas-based vendor is placing a significant emphasis on its channel initiatives and looking to help partners leverage managed services, security, and compliance for customer deployments.
Pratt joins DataBank with 20 years of experience in executive sales roles. Most recently, he was at Datapipe (now Rackspace), where he held two positions during his tenure: senior vice president of co-location and vice president of enterprise and channel sales.
The Buzz: “With DataBank, I’m looking forward to strengthening relationships in the channel ecosystem, developing the brand, and helping to drive sales for our channel partners,” said Pratt. “My team and I will also focus on new training and tools to ensure channel partners are armed with the necessary resources for success. Our channel partners have high-quality, secure co-location options they can blend with other services for a true hybrid solution.”
“We’re excited to have Bill on the team. He joins DataBank at an incredible time of growth for the company, as we are seeing an increased demand for hybrid solutions from our partners, prospects, and customers,” said Stephen Callahan, senior vice president of sales for DataBank. “Bill’s industry track record and expertise will allow him to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact on our channel and managed service initiatives.”
